Leticia Luce

Leticia C. Luce of Holland, PA died peacefully at St. Mary Medical Center on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was 86.

Born in the Philippines to Domingo and Rosario Reyes Cabrera, Leticia was the beloved wife of 28 years to the late Raymond Luce.

Growing up in the Philippines as the eldest daughter of seven children, Leticia or “Letty," as she was affectionately called, cared deeply and watched over her loved ones. She cherished her family, friends, and Filipino traditions.

As the matriarch of the family, Letty went above and beyond as a sister and aunt. She was often the voice of reason, giving guidance and support to her family. She instilled small but valuable life lessons, such as living by “The Golden Rule,” showing gratitude and striving to say, “thank you” at least 10 times a day, and most of all being strong and staying positive throughout life’s challenges. Her kindness and love was felt by all who interacted with her.

Letty enjoyed some of her best years with her late husband and “mahal,” Ray. During their life together, they enjoyed traveling around the world and gathering with friends and family to share stories and laughter, always centered around delicious food. She was also a fierce Scrabble opponent and continued to play puzzles that kept her sharp. She served as an example of how to live a vibrant, independent, and fulfilling life.

Letty will be greatly missed. She is survived by her siblings Eduardo (Delia) Cabrera, Zenaida Cueto, Evelina (Edward) Yurick, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her stepchildren Rev. Stuart (Carolyn) Luce and Cheryl Luce, as well as three step-grandchildren.

Leticia’s family will receive friends and family on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:00 am until her Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  Her interment will take place privately at a later date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
