Phyllis McCabe

Phyllis McCabe (nee Nieradka) of Jamison, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2024, 73 years old. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 50 years, Doug McCabe, children: J.D. McCabe (Clare), Amanda McCabe (Paul Clarkson), Carly Keteyian (Aram), and grandchildren: Edie, Cooper, Vivian and Albie. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony Nieradka (Debbie Toleno), her sister, Margaret Harrer (Mark). Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Wanda Nieradka.

Phyllis was born and grew up in Passaic, New Jersey. She attended Pope Pius High School and went on to receive a Masters in plant pathology from University of Wisconsin and a MBA from LaSalle University. In her leisure, she was very active in the Warwick Republican Committee, Doylestown Nature Club, and a member of the Penn State Master Watershed Steward Program.   Phyllis was a past President of the Mountain View Residents Association and a current Board member.  She enjoyed tending to her garden and was known for her recipes especially apple butter, jams and jellies. She was selflessly kind and enjoyed being of service to her family and loved ones. She was known to treat all houseguests and friends of her children as her own family, creating warm memories and close bonds.  She was a devoted wife, mother and adoring Babcia. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Family and Friends are invited to attend an Evening Visitation on Thursday September 26, 2024, 6:00-8:00pm at Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave, New Britain, PA 18901 (on the corner of Sandy Ridge Rd). A Morning Visitation will take place on Friday September 27, 2024, 10:00-11:00am in St Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, PA 18976. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis’ memory to: The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation or One Dads Mission. Please leave your remembrances of Phyllis in the virtual guestbook.
