Patricia Laura Bachtle (McFadden)

Patricia L. Bachtle passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024 in her home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her beloved husband Eugene Bachtle, their three children Bruce, Mark, and Karen, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Patricia left her birthplace of Philadelphia a graduate of Little Flower High School for New York City where she worked as a secretary for Rohm & Haas, before returning to her native state to serve as Bucks County’s first female prothonotary for 6 consecutive terms.

Patricia’s pride for the family she formed was matched only by the Irish heritage she boasted, the office she held, the faith and spirituality that guided her, and the candor with which she formed so many lasting bonds.

Patricia collected elephants of all shapes and sizes that adorned her diligently maintained pristine home which served as a comfort for all family occasions. She loved reading in the shade in the company of loved ones and laughing at old stories as though they were new.

A maverick, Patricia was unique to all who knew her. She will no doubt be missed uniquely by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Patricia’s family on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00pm -8:00pm and again on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 9:00am until the start of her Prayer Service at 10:00am at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home at 800 Newtown Richboro Road (at Holland Road) in Richboro, PA 18954. Patricia’s interment will take place privately.
