Nishan Boyajian
Dr. Nishan Boyajian passed away at the age of 93 surrounded by his family on August 12, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Christine Boyajian (Minnetian); daughter, Etienne Boyajian Maholick (Michael) and son, Christopher Mark Boyajian.
The son of the late Genevieve and Oscar Boyajian, Nishan attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated in 1954. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Captain. He served until 1958 and was honorably discharged.
Upon leaving the Air Force he established an optometric practice in Southampton, PA and provided eye care to three generations of families in Southampton and the surrounding communities for 57 years.
Nishan was a lifelong member of the Huntingdon Valley Rotary Club, his participation exceeding 55 years. During his membership he served in various roles including Club President. He was honored with the Paul Harris award for dedicated service.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, August 19th from 6pm-8pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA. and on Tuesday, August 20th from 9am-10am. A funeral service will follow. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. with military honors.
