Edward F. Maziekien

Edward (Ed) Maziekien, of Hobe Sound, FL, formerly of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2024, 84 years old. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years Kathleen, daughter Jacquie Rebholz and her husband Nick and their three sons Joe, Jim, and Jack and his son Dennis Maziekien and wife Laurie and two children, Nicholas and Jenna. He is predeceased by his parents William and Catherine Maziekien and his siblings Mary Lou Sloan, Catherine Stehle, and William Maziekien.

Ed graduated from Archbishop Walsh High School in Irvington, NJ. He served in the United States Navy from 1961-1966 as an Electronic Technician while stationed in Key West, Florida. Following his military service, Ed married the love of his life, Kathleen Adanatzian. Ed and Kathleen raised their family in an active and friendly neighborhood in Warren Township, NJ. They moved to Mantoloking, NJ in 1996 where they lived until 2012.

Ed successfully ran his own architectural metal manufacturing business, Mazmet Metal Products for over 30 years. He took immense pride in his work and his work ethic was an inspiration to many. Anyone who knew Ed knew of his love for cycling. It was not unusual to see Ed go for a 30-mile ride on a Saturday morning at the beach. Ed was a devoted grandfather and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Many of his retirement days were spent attending games and events of his five grandchildren.
