Joseph Hartey

Joseph Hartey, of Hatboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family August 12, 2024, aged 66. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Dolores Hartey (nee Grimberg), loving children: Joseph Hartey (Katie), Stephanie Koldhoff (Mike), Matthew Hartey (Lisa), adoring grandchildren: Colin, Brigid, Shea, Rowan, Declan, Michael, Ryan, Grace, Brayden, Owen, Kevin and Cameron. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Winifred Hartey and 7 siblings. He is predeceased by his father, James Hartey and his brother, Daniel Hartey.

Joe was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather. He worked hard for many years as a logistics manager and established many meaningful connections with his coworkers and colleagues. He was a passionate fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He also loved to follow the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers. Joe loved to talk sports with his family and friends.  He coached baseball and basketball for many years with St. Matthews School and the Holy Terrors Youth Organization in Mayfair. Joe enjoyed playing basketball, golfing, riding his bicycle, and reading.  He loved traveling with Dolores and spending time on the beach with his children and grandchildren especially his trips to Ocean City, NJ and Key West, Florida.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 9:00am till 12:00pm at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954. A Prayer Service will begin at 12:00pm. Please leave your remembrances of Joe in the virtual guestbook. Contributions in Joe’s memory can be made to Modified by M.S. or Abington Health Foundation Behavioral Health Fund.
