Robert Carter Hasselbauer

Robert Carter Hasselbauer passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 79, with his beloved wife of 42 years by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Jane Hasselbauer (Willson), and his sister, Irma Green. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Jean, and his children: Jennifer McGuire (Christopher), Stephen Perras (Susan), and Samantha Moore (Corey Brown). He also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Jackson, Ty, Ely, Landon, Rune, Slater, Jett, June, and Kinsey, with whom he loved spending time. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Woodside, and numerous nephews and nieces who affectionately knew him as the "cool" uncle.

Bob spent his childhood summers at Cranberry Lake, where he developed a lifelong love for boating and water skiing. His passion for animals led him to pursue a degree in Animal Husbandry from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture, now Delaware Valley University, in Doylestown, PA. After serving in the U.S. Army, Bob built a successful career at Merck & Company, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring.

An avid golfer and gun enthusiast, Bob was also a dedicated fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and a lover of golden retrievers. He took great pleasure in spending time with his family, enjoying cocktail hour, and exploring new restaurants.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their condolences on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 12:00pm until his Funeral Service at 1:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment with Military Honors to follow immediately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Bob's memory.
