Diane Louise Wilchacky (Perry)

Diane Wilchacky, (Perry) of Ann’s Choice Warminster, died peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Born on January 21, 1935 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John H. Perry Sr. and Eleanor (Hunter) Perry. She was preceded in death by her brother John H. Perry Jr. Surviving are her husband, Walter Wilchacky, brother-in-law Robert Wilchacky both of Warminster, PA, her sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilchacky of Buckingham, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews on the Wilchacky side of the family. Also surviving are her sister-in law Sandra Perry of Levittown, PA her nephew Jon Perry (Ann) of Morrisville, PA, and nephew Brendan Perry of Baltimore, MD.

Diane grew up in Altoona, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from high school before earning her degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. For many years, she dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a school librarian, primarily at Lafayette Elementary School in Bristol, PA, as well as other elementary schools throughout Bristol Borough and Township. Diane furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in library sciences from Trenton State College, now known as The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. She was an active and devoted member of Northampton Presbyterian Church in Southampton, PA, attending weekly services and participating in church events. Above all, Diane was a loving wife, sister, and aunt who found immense joy in hosting family gatherings and celebrations in her home in Holland, PA, where she and Walt shared over fifty wonderful years together. An enthusiastic world traveler, she relished the opportunity to explore Europe and other continents with friends and family. In her leisure time, Diane enjoyed reading, painting, and pursuing art classes, reflecting her creative spirit and love for learning. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family on August 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the chapel at Ann’s Choice, 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974, followed by a funeral service with Pastor Chris Edwards as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ann’s Choice Benevolent Fund at 30000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
