Virginia Thomas (Deal)

Virginia Thomas, age 93 of Warminster PA died peacefully on Saturday August 3rd at Doylestown Hospital.

Virginia(Ginny) was born September 24, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA. She was the only daughter and adored by her parents, James P. Deal and Althreia (Allie) Green Deal. Ginny was cute as a button as a child.  She won the Shirley Temple look-alike contest, and still has the prized doll.

Ginny went on to graduate from Frankford High School and start her career working at the former Yale and Towne Company where she met her beloved husband the late Donald Thomas who died in 1988.

After their marriage in 1954, they had 3 children. Ginny was a great stay-at-home mom and actively participated in her children's lives.  Once her children were all in school, Ginny became an assistant teacher for special education students at Delta School, where she worked for many years.

She moved to Ann’s Choice in 2012 and called it home for thirteen years.  She made many new friends and got involved in various activities. She played bridge, went to Bible study and philosophy lectures, and even took tap dancing lessons.  She had a rich and wonderful life at Ann’s Choice, and her family visited her often.  She and her dear friend Allen Wenker always hosted a family St. Patrick’s Day dinner and the Thomas family Christmas Eve dinner every year.

Ginny always had a bright smile and was genuinely kind and cared for others. She was interested in their thoughts and was an attentive listener. She always wanted to learn more and would listen to podcasts every day.

Ginny loved donuts, and one of her grandchildren’s favorite memories is her three-tier candy dish with special treats.

She was a woman of great faith and was loved by her family.

She will forever be the greatest guardian angel to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Joy Martosella (Peter) and James Thomas and her grandchildren, Amy Thomas, Kristie Thomas, and Megan Davis.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Carole Davis.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Ginny’s family on Saturday, August 17, 2024, 11:30am, at The Chapel at Ann’s Choice, 30000 Ann’s Choice Way in Warminster, PA 18974, to pay tribute to Ginny’s life.

Ginny’s interment will take place privately.
