Mary K. Pierce (Jones)

Mary Katherine Pierce, “Kathy,” received her wings on the morning of Thursday, February 1, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, and was raised in North Carolina and Newport News, Virginia.  Kathy met the love of her life, Bill, at Fort Monroe in Newport News, Virginia in 1960. They married in 1962 and moved to Philadelphia to begin their life together.  In 1969 they relocated to Richboro to raise their growing family, which was the center of Kathy’s world.

Kathy grew up as an only child but loved Bill’s large family as her own and enjoyed hosting family get togethers throughout the years. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. The door was always open and there was never a shortage of their favorite treats, especially her homemade strawberry jam.  Kathy never missed a game, meet, play, or recital. She could often be heard telling her family that they should come around more. She was right!

Kathy was the daughter of the late Bert Jones and the late Lucy Jones Revis and was predeceased by her son Joseph Patrick Pierce. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her four children, William Pierce and his wife Marie of Jamison, Michael Pierce of Furlong, Sharyn Gallagher of Phoenixville, Melissa Perry and her husband Michael of Levittown, PA, Bonus daughters: Shelly Griffiths & Marissa DeMoss, nine grandchildren, Amanda Pierce, Michael Pierce (Natalie), Billy Pierce, Taylor Gallagher, Jimmy Gallagher, Conor Pierce (Ali), Mikayla Gallagher, Brianna Miozzi (Santino) and Evangeline Pierce. Kathy is also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews and her loving cousins from the south.

Her services and interment will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
