Donald "Don" Traynor

Donald Traynor of Horsham, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 88.
Don was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1935 to the late Charles Rook Traynor and Ruth Miller Traynor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joyce Phillips Traynor; children Ruth Elaine Bell and her husband Ian of Ottawa, Canada; Kenneth Traynor from Horsham, Pa and Donald Traynor II and his wife Cindy of Warminster, PA; his brother Charles R. Traynor from Levittown, PA. Don is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Collin, Justin, Cameron, Dani, Brendan, Kristen, Jenna and great-granddaughter Delaney.
A man of great integrity and generosity of spirit, Don enjoyed helping people, spending many years serving as a deacon and lay minister. Finding humor in everyday events, he always had a ready laugh for a good joke or story – even when he was the one telling it. Don spent 43 years working for Bell of Pennsylvania and then Verizon, where he developed his multi-faceted handyman skills. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Location and time will be announced in the future.
