Bonny L. Pugliese (Clouser)
Bonny L. Pugliese, of Warrington, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 85 years old. Bonny was the beloved wife of Joseph M. Pugliese of 66 years.
Bonny was born on April 27, 1938 to the late Marvin and Anna Clouser. She grew up in Reading, PA, and later attended Hahnemann School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She went on to have a 40-year-long rewarding career at Abington Hospital, in various fields of nursing, but spent the majority of her time in Labor & Delivery. She was loved by her patients and her coworkers.
Bonny gladly cared for anyone who was in need, quickly becoming the neighborhood nurse who was called upon any time someone was sick or injured. In her own home, she would go on to care for several relatives during their final illnesses.
In retirement, Bonny led an active life of traveling, gardening, bingo, golfing, and keeping up with her grandchildren, who knew her affectionately as “Bun-Bun.”
She will be remembered as she was— loving, caring, sharp, witty, and beautiful. Peanut butter rice cakes, and the Feast of Seven Fishes won’t taste as good without her.
Along with her husband Joseph, Bonny is survived by her children, Gina Coyle and her husband Brian, Andrea Pugliese, Vince Pugliese and his wife Valerie; grandchildren, Vinny Pugliese and his wife Kelsey, Joey Pugliese, Brian Coyle, Jr., Stephanie Coyle-Welsh and her husband Jack; and great-grandson, Dominic.
Services and interment for Bonny will be private at the request of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bonny’s memory, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association: https://www.alz.org/get-involved-now/donate
