Katherine M. Lamelza (O'Connor)

Katherine M. Lamelza, of Richboro, PA passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Richboro Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Richboro, PA. She was 78.

Sadly, the world lost one of the great ones. Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Kathy Lamelza.

Originally of Philadelphia, Churchville, Horsham and more recently of Richboro. She passed away after battling a terrible illness that may have crippled her body, but never her heart or her mind.

She touched the lives of all who she came in contact with. She was a vibrant woman who's work ethic and love of family were incomparable. From her days working in the restaurant industry, to Lawley's Roses, and finally retiring at 75 after working for C&C Ford for almost two decades. She brought a ray of sunshine to work with her everyday.

At Heaven's gate she was met by her loving husband of 43 years Nicholas Lamelza, her parents Thomas & Katherine Hanrahan, her mother and father in-law George & Anna Lamelza, her sisters Joan Suder, Sandra Sherick, Harriet (Patsy) Moore, Carol Adamo, brother in-law George Lamelza, and sister in-law Janet Lamelza. She was loved dearly by her three son's and their spouses Tommy & Michele Lamelza of Upper Saucon, PA Nick & Sherry Lamelza of Doylestown, PA and John & Laura Lamelza of Furlong, PA.

Her greatest joy were her grandchildren, Tommy, Connor, Hunter, Brandon, Kelsey, Trevor and Courtney who brought her never ending happiness.

Part of the family she will be leaving behind on her journey home are her sisters and brothers Bob & Pat O'Connor of Cinnaminson, NJ, Marian & Steve Clark of Warrington, PA, Linda & Patrick Smith of Philadelphia, PA, Frank Moore of Phoenix, AZ and John Lamelza of Holland PA.

She has shared her life with countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. We ask you not to feel sorrow, she has seen the face of God! We can only pray that we will get to experience that someday. We ask, on our mother's behalf that we all try to live a life like hers. There is a Special place in our hearts for her, as well as yours we are sure.

God Bless and thank you for being part of our mother's life.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30am until a celebration of her life 12:30pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Chelten Baptist Church – a church of hope, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025.  Her interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA.
