Robert W. Keddie
In Loving Memory of Robert W. Keddie, Jr.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Keddie, who left us on September 2, 2023. He was a pillar of strength, a source of inspiration, and a guiding light.
Born in Philadelphia on January 23, 1942, to parents Robert Paterson Wilson Keddie and Winfred Keddie, Bob touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a doting grandfather, and a loyal friend. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering support were the cornerstones of his character. He lived his life with integrity and grace.
Bob grew up in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia. He graduated from Frankford High School in 1959 and went on to serve in the United States Navy. After his military service, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969. He excelled in his professional career, working in executive positions for NCR Corp and Beneficial Savings Bank for many years. His dedication and work ethic were an inspiration to all who worked alongside him.
After retirement, he served on the board of directors of Liberty Lutheran and supported various other charitable endeavors. Beyond his professional achievements, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed music and singing. The highs and lows of being a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan were a continued source of both joy and sorrow, sometimes simultaneously.
Bob was a devoted husband of fifty eight years to his loving wife Peggie and their bond was a testament to the power of love and partnership. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a father, he was a source of guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support for his three children, Robert III, James and Timothy and their families. He instilled in his children the values of honesty, perseverance, and compassion.
As a grandfather, Bob was adored by his six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sophia, Andrew, Robert IV (Wil), Ruby and Griffin. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire us.
