Craig W. Eiser Sr.

Craig W. Eiser Sr, 87, of Red Hill, died peacefully surrounded by his family, on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown, PA. He was the beloved husband of Madeline M. (Brodbeck) Eiser. Craig and Madeline “Madge” would have been married 63 years on April 18, 2022. 

Born February 21, 1935 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Russell and Jane T. (Reynolds) Eiser.

Craig was a member of the Army National Guard (3 years) and Air Force Reserve (4 years). He was an insurance agent at Downey & Eiser for 5 years and later worked at Gum Insurance Agency for 32 years; retiring at 66. Craig completed his master’s degree in professional counseling from Chestnut Hill College in 1994 and in 2003, he began his second career in psychotherapy. He worked at the Philmont Guidance Center and counseled clients in emotional wellness for 17 years.

Craig was a devoted volunteer in his community for over 26 years. Some of his noteworthy volunteer efforts included: the 49th Ward Ambulance Corp, Holy Child Church Troubled Teens Program and the Thresholds Inmate Rehabilitation Program at various state correctional institutions including Graterford Prison.

Craig was a history buff, avid reader and health and fitness enthusiast.

Along with his wife, Madeline, Craig is survived by five children, Jane E. Laky (Thomas) of Schwenksville, Carol A. Eiser-Zwall (Nelson) of Langhorne, Deborah A. Azarewicz (Jerome) of Churchville, Craig W. Eiser, Jr. (Maria) of Conchranville, and Cynthia Fleming (Joseph) of West Norriton; ten grandchildren, Ian, Jessica, Jerome, Julianne, Andrew, Amanda, Nicholas, Brianna, Liam, and Aiden; two great-grandchildren, Jerome John and Mary Jeanette; preceded in death by brother Reynold Eiser (Mary).

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family May 6, 2022 from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, with the luncheon to follow.
