Jill Benham

Jill Benham originally of Ivyland died January 11, 2022 at Sunrise of North Wales where she was a resident for the past 7 years.

Born February 24, 1940 in Abington, she was daughter of the late Wellard S. and Elizabeth U. Benham, and sister of the late John S. Benham.

Jill was a 1958 graduate of Council Rock HS and 1979 graduate from Delaware Valley University with a degree in Business Administration. She was a resident of Ivyland for 75 years.

Jill worked at Rudd-Melikian, Inc starting in 1958 (receivership to Gross-Given in 1967) in Warminster for 45 years until 2003 rising from administrative assistant to Manager of Purchasing. During this time she also worked part time at Santarian’s in Hatboro till it closed, then assisted a Re/Max realtor for several years, After RMI she worked for 5 years at Lenox Instrument Company in Trevose until 2010 with similar responsibilities. Jill enjoyed travel, gardening, reading, and caring for her pets. Family and friends gathered at her house with guests enjoying a home cooked meal, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and the warmth of her welcoming generosity.

She is survived by her brother Jeffrey W. Benham and his wife Jane of Harleysville and by her four nieces Joy, Kimberly, Cynthia, and Sarah and several great nieces and a nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:30 am until her memorial service at 11:00 am on Saturday January 29, 2022 at Ivyland Presbyterian Church, 51 Gough Ave., Ivyland. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to either Ivyland Presbyterian Church or the Bucks County society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), PO Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
