Michael P. Esmond

Michael P. Esmond, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. He was 46.

He was the beloved husband of Christy R. Whitcomb Esmond, together for 19 years and married for 17 years.

Born in Elkins Park, he was a son of the late Michael D. and Agnes W.L. Gilmour Esmond. Mike grew up in Richboro with his family. He attended St. Bedes for grade school and was a graduate of Council Rock  High School. After high school, he went on to attain a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State Abington. He worked in the security industry since his college graduation and in recent years attained his realtors license.

Mike was an avid sports fan, loving the Eagles and Flyers. He enjoyed playing football and hockey. Mike’s love for sports was shared by his family, and he enjoyed cheering for his children, Michael and Kylie, at their various sporting events. He was so proud of their many accomplishments. Mike spent his free time fishing with his family and friends, vacationing at the Jersey Shore and the Poconos, and traveling with his family for his children’s sports tournaments. Mike enjoyed family get-togethers and dinners and giving big hugs to his nieces and nephew. Mike loved his family pets, Scooter, Bella, and Skittle Rose. Mike will be so deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Christy, Mike is survived by his two children; Michael R. Esmond and Kylie A. Esmond, both of Lansdale, his brother Kevin J. Esmond and his wife Kimberly of Hatfield, PA and his sister Lindsay A. Butler and her husband Bryan of Horsham, PA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew; Leah, Paige, Alexandra, and Collin.

His family will receive family and friends on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 from 3:00pm until a celebration of his life at 5:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be held privately at a later date.
