Josephine Mannino

Josephine Mannino, of Doylestown, PA died on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 73.

She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Francesco "Frank" Mannino.

Born in Carini, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Rosalia Passalacqua Scavo, mother of the late Vito Mannino, sister of the late Vincent "Vinny" Scavo and grandmother of the late Nicholas Mannino.

Josephine grew up in Sicily before moving to Brooklyn with her family in her early teens and then to Doylestown in 1970. She was a devoted wife and mother and the consummate matriarch. She was always tending to her family; from taking her children to the many and various athletic events to making sure that her home was always ready for friends and family. Her unending attention and devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren will always be cherished.

In addition to her husband, Frank, Josephine is survived by her five children; Matt Mannino of Doylestown, Frank Mannino of Wayne, Dino Mannino of Doylestown, Daniela Pistone of Quakertown, and Rosalia Mannino Hamson and her husband Ken of Warminster, and her four brothers; Vito Scavo and his wife Rosalia of Sicily, Sal Scavo and his wife Angela of Somerville, NJ, Dominick Scavo and his wife Lina of New Paltz, NY, John Scavo and is wife Martha of White House Station, NJ and his sister in law; Nancy Scavo of Titusville, NJ.  She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren Laura Pistone, Salvatore Pistone, Julia Pistone, Ava Pistone, Joseph Mannino, Matthew Mannino, Nicholas Mannino, Isobel Mannino, Dominick Mannino and Sophia Mannino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 and on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901, from 10:00am to 10:45am with her Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am. Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
