Shirley Ann Tinney (Morrissey)

Shirley A. Tinney, 82, of Warminster, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Tinney, Sr., who passed away in 2016.

Born December 30, 1938 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was the eldest daughter of the late Richard A. and Margaret (Shaughnessy) Morrissey.

Shirley had a successful 30 year career at Merrill Lynch serving as a senior registered client associate having earned her Series 7 and Series 63 certifications.  While Shirley boasts many impressive career accomplishments, her life truly centered around her friends, faith, and family.  She maintained life-long friendships through her membership of the Red Hat Organization. As well as being a long standing member of this social organization, Shirley was a dedicated parishioner at Nativity of our Lord Parish for 50 years. However, more than anything she cherished time spent with her big extended family including her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who lovingly nicknamed her ‘Sarge’.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Joseph J. Tinney, Jr. (Christina) of Ringoes, NJ, John D. Tinney (Belinda) of Warrington, and Kathleen A. Fisher of Warminster; six grandchildren, Dylan, Jason, Keira, John Jr., Kristen, and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Cole, Ryder, Carter, and Hudson; and three siblings, Raymond Morrissey, Mary Ellen Heilner, and Margaret Klenk.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 to 10:45 am Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 West Street Road, Warminster, with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am. Internment will be held privately.
