Joan Shneibaum (Korsunski)

Joan Korsunski Shneibaum, of Yardley, PA formerly of Jamaica Estates, Queens died on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. She was 78.

She was the beloved wife of 57 years to Sanford Shneibaum.

She was the daughter of the late Norbert and Regina Horowitz Korsunski.

Joan was born in New York City and graduated from the High School of Music and Art in New York City and attended City College of New York where she studied Music and Education.  She was a devoted early education teacher for over twenty years. Joan enjoyed her life filled with music, art, culture, and travel with her beloved husband, Sandy. 

Joan met Sandy during the summer of 1961 in the Catskills and they never looked back.  Throughout their marriage they loved to vacation in the Catskills, the Poconos and cruising the globe making memories and enjoying life together.  Regardless of where they were, Joan adored spending time with her husband, children, and especially her grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband Sandy, she is survived by her three children and 8 grandchildren; Michael Shneibaum and his wife Ilysa and their children Lilly and Naomi of Marietta, GA, Beth Zuckerman and her husband Andrew and their children Carlye, Ryan, and Brendan of Yardley, PA and Debra Cafasso and her husband John and their children Julia, Isabella, and Charlie of Manhasset, NY.

Joan will be laid to rest in a private service on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at King David Memorial Park, 3594 Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.  Shiva will follow Sunday and Monday at Beth’s home at 885 Weber Drive, Yardley, PA and will continue at Debra's home on Wednesday and Thursday after 5:00PM at 370 Manhasset Woods Road, Manhasset, NY.
