Anthony Cumbo
Anthony J. Cumbo, 80, of Langhorne, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Sandra L. (Muffett) Cumbo.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Samuel and Agnes (Krumpka) Cumbo.
In his younger years he was in the marching band of Delhaas high school. He was taught the Clarinet and Alto Sax by Len Pierro and went on to play in dance bands for several years.
He joined the Navy at the age of 17 where he became an electrician and had the opportunity to travel around the world.
He and his partners formed an electronics company in Princeton N. J., Princeton Measurements Corporation. Tony was Vice President of Marketing, manufacturing and selling Magnetometers for R & D around the world. He retired 26 years later in 2013.
Tony was a proud and passionate person with a good sense of humor. He loved his Family, Friends and the Veterans. Helping his family, sons, daughter in laws, and grandsons meant everything to him. He was the fixer in chief.
He appreciated sport cars and motorcycles. He road in the St. Mary Cycle Fest in 2009. He belonged to the Delaware Corvette Club, Falls Township Rifle and Pistol Association. Member of Immaculate Conception CYO where he met lifelong friends. Weekly breakfasts with his Veteran friends was always fun. Wreaths across America was important to him and the Bucks County Tour of Honor.
Along with his wife, Sandra, Anthony is survived by two sons, Brian A. Cumbo (Kelly) of Yardley and Kevin M. Cumbo (Colene) of Perkasie; two grandsons, Michael L. Cumbo and Matthew M. Cumbo; and a brother, Ronald Cumbo (Nancy) of Arizona.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:15 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, with the funeral mass to follow at 11:30 am. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
