Michael Charles Hoefert

Michael C. Hoefert, 73, of Langhorne, passed away on November 15, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (Gallo) Hoefert.

Born September 5, 1948 in Buffalo, he was a son of the late Karl F. and Betty Jane (Rossney) Hoefert and brother of the late Jim Hoefert.

Mike grew up in Kenmore, NY and graduated from Kenmore High School in 1966. He went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from Canisius College in 1972. He began working in the railroad industry shortly after, where he built his career of forty-three years. Mike was an avid reader, traveler, and hospital volunteer. He also loved skiing and horseback riding. Mike was a devoted family man and his favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren and grand-dogs.

Along with his wife of forty-two years, Ginny, Mike is survived by two children, Andrea Cerviello (Robert) and Greg Hoefert (Lindsey); three grandchildren, Gianna, Emma, and Daniel; and six siblings, Judy, Sandy, Wendy, Debbie, and Lisa.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 to 10:45am Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, with the memorial mass to follow at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.

Contributions in Mike's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place PO Box 1893 in Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
