John Thiessen

John Thiessen passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Doylestown Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84.

Born May 31, 1937, in Winkler, Manitoba, Canada, he was the son of the late Henry P. and Margaret Dyck Thiessen, and the beloved husband of Sally Ann Roach Thiessen, to whom he was married  35 years.

Before retiring, John was a tractor trailer driver for the US Postal service.  After retirement, John volunteered at Doylestown Hospital.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife,  cooking, jigsaw puzzles and taking trips to the shore.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by: son Thomas J. Fraser III, and his wife Valerie; daughters Sarah A. Panasiuk, and her husband Joseph and Allison M. Bunting, and her husband John; as well as nine beloved grandchildren, eleven adored great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by son Joseph M. Fraser; as well as many brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to join John’s family at his funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Forest Grove Presbyterian Church, 1856 Forest Grove Road, Forest Grove, PA 18922. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s name may be made to Forest Grove Presbyterian Church, 1856 Forest Grove Road, Forest Grove Pa. 18922.
