Walter E. Peters, Jr.

Walter Earl Peters, Jr. of Fallsington, PA died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Chandler Hall.  He was 96.

Born in Trenton, NJ,  Walter was the beloved husband of the late Emily Sauer Peters, the son of the late Walter E., Sr. and Minnie Zickler Peters, and brother of the late Elmer and William Peters.

Walter was a proud Veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army Air Force and in later years served with the New Jersey National Guard.  Walter was honored with receiving the Congressional Gold Medal for his faithful and dedicated service in the Civil Air Patrol.  He was a longtime Aviation Mechanic for the New Jersey National Guard and with his talents, both natural and learned from his service, he was truly an all-around Mr. Fix-it.  Walter enjoyed tinkering with things to make them work again or work better, he enjoyed riding his tractor and caring for his lawn and garden, but most of all, he cherished time spent with his daughters, sons-in-law,  grandchildren, and extended family members.  Walter will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have been a part of his life and to have been loved by him.

Walter is survived by his loving and devoted daughters, Louise J. P. Harman and her husband Robert of Langhorne, PA and Cheryl E.P. Lynch and her husband John of Fallsington, PA.  He is also survived by his sister Anne Mayer, his four dear grandchildren Blair and Christina Harman, Cornell Juliano, and Emily Lynch, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment was held privately at Union Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors in Richboro, PA.  Services were held at Fallsington United Methodist Church in Fallsington, PA.

The family would like to extend a grateful thank you to the healthcare professionals who so lovingly cared for Walter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to either Fallsington United Methodist Church, 50 Lacross St. Fallsington, PA 19054 or Historic Fallsington, Inc. 4 Yardley Avenue Fallsington, PA 19054.
