Lester John Szygiel

Lester John Szygiel of Bensalem passed away surrounded by his loving and devoted family on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 71. Born in Bradford England and raised in Levittown, PA he was the son of the late Jan Szygiel and Diane Plich.

Lester was the beloved husband of 49 years to Darlene Trapani Szygiel. In addition to his beloved wife Darlene, Lester is survived by his loving children; his son Jesse John Szygiel and his wife Kate of Eagleville, PA, and his daughter Lauren Szygiel De Paulis and her husband Marco of Harleysville, PA.  He is also survived by his grandson Leo and his brothers: Stas (Sharon), Jas (Annette), Ricky (LeeAnn), Eddy Szygiel, and niece and nephews.

Lester was an extremely kind, generous, and family-oriented man who has left an everlasting impression and legacy with all those he spent time with. He loved traveling with his family and fishing and golfing with his brothers when they weren’t building their well-respected business, Tile-All. When it came to family and friends, Lester was a selfless provider, cementing his place in everybody’s hearts with happy memories.

Lester’s family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon, November 17, 2021, from 2:00 pm until the sharing of words of remembrance at 4:00 pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will be private.
