Pasquale J. Giradi

Pasquale J. Giradi “Pat” of Ivyland died Saturday November 6, in the comfort of his home. He was 78.

Born in Abington, he was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen Beck Giradi, son of the late Peter and Josephine Zollo Giradi, brother and brother-in-law of the late Wally and Shirley Giradi and Bill Bendel.

“Pat” as he was known to family and friends, was a resident of Northampton Township since 1964. Pat started his professional career in 1970 as part of the Northampton Township Department of Public Works and after 38 years, retired in 2009 as Superintendent of Public Works.  He took pride in all his work and did whatever he could for the Northampton Police and Fire Departments, Lions, Kiwanis clubs, and the community.

He and his late wife Kathleen enjoyed camping and traveling to their house at the Jersey shore. Pat was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing on his boat, hunting, and camping.  He was a Life Member of the Northampton Township Fire Company and was an active volunteer for many years.  He was a regular guy who enjoyed breaking bread with family and friends, and if you needed Pat and its around dinner time, you just might want to stop in Giuseppe’s in Richboro. He was a dedicated family man who loved making memories with his family.  He will be sadly missed as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Pat is survived by his loving and devoted children: Kelly McGowan and Spencer McGowan, and Michael Giradi and his wife Ruth. He has one sister, Marie Bendel. Also surviving are Pat’s grandchildren; Ashley Giradi and her fiancé Tommy Griffith, Michael Giradi, Jr., Matthew McGowan and his wife Alysen, and Jessica McGowan, and great grandchildren Kathleen and Sophie Griffith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, November 17 from 9:00am until his Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon  at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
