Harriet M. Saracino (Stehle)
Harriet M. Saracino, of Richboro, died peacefully on Thursday October 21, 2021 at Pathways of Warrington. She was 95 years young.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas V. Saracino, Sr. for 68 years. Daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Baker Stehle.
She was a resident of Richboro for the past 40 years and a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Bede the Venerable Parish. Harriet was a devout Catholic, daily communicant, extraordinary minister of Holy Communion and active in the parish. Her faith was unwavering and her devotion and dedication to praying the Rosary was so strong, she formed the “Rosary Gang” that prayed the Rosary after the 9:00am daily mass and is still said by the “Rosary Gang”.
Harriet also expressed her faith through action and was an active and long-time volunteer at St. Joseph’s Manor and at her parish, St. Bede where she taught CCD. When she did relax, she and her late husband, enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore.
Family came first and foremost to Harriet, the More the Merrier, family dinners always welcomed, the holidays brought the best out in Harriet and Nick, Christmas Eve, was a special time for the Saracino’s as they all gathered to welcome the Baby Jesus, they gave thanks for their faith and the opportunity to be together as a family.
Harriet is survived by her seven children: Nicholas V. Saracino, Jr., John A. Saracino and his wife Jean, Elaine S. Cochrane and her husband John, Joseph T. Saracino and his wife Kathleen, James M. Saracino and his wife Dr. Barbara Saracino, Marianne S. Tarves and her husband Richard and Kathleen M. Weidner and her husband Michael. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Helen Saracino and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday October 27,2021 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 12:00 Noon. Wearing of masks is optional in St. Bede Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
