Carol A. Diehle, formerly of Richboro, PA died peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Jennersville Hospital in West Grove, PA. She was 95.
Carol was the beloved wife of the late Owen C. Diehle and the loving mother of the late Charles R. Diehle.
Born in Bloomsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Dr. Murray H. Ash and Mable Ruth Yaple Ash.
Carol attended Drexel University and earned a degree in science. Her first job was as a buyer for Macy’s in New York City. After marriage she pursued a career in in education, teaching at Council Rock High School for most of her career.
Carol was an avid bridge player and golfer. She also volunteered at the local library and assisted on a suicide hotline in her retirement. She was lovingly known as “Nana” to family and close friends.
Most importantly Nana will be remembered as a loving and devoted partner, mother, grandmother and friend. She showed her love in many ways and will be remembered for her warm smile and how much she loved her family.
Carol is survived by her loving and devoted son, Douglas Ash Diehle and his wife Diane of Lincoln University, PA and her daughter-in-law Joyce Diehle of Ivyland, PA. She is also survived by her five dear grandchildren: Courtney Ganter, Ashley Pirone, Devon Diehle, Danielle Diehle, Colin Diehle and also by her great grandson Owen Ganter.
Services and interment for Carol will be private at Union Cemetery in Richboro.
