Marie J. Trovato (Grego)

Marie J. Grego Trovato passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at her home in Richboro. She was 90.

Born in Scranton, Marie is survived by the love of her life, husband Onofrio “Nick” Trovato, to whom she was married 68 years. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Ruszkowski Grego.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her world revolved around her family. She had a beaming personality that would light up a room. She always greeted everyone with a smile. If you met Marie for the first time, by the end of the conversation, you would feel like you had known her for years. She had a way of making people feel special. Marie was a true, caring friend. She was sincerely kind, and would be the first person to help anyone in need. If you came to her home, you would be offered cake or cookies, and even possibly, home-made gnocchis! She would love to chat on the phone, anytime, day or night. Marie was a huge Elvis fan!

In addition to her beloved Nick, Marie is survived by her son Dr. Louis Trovato, and his wife, Barb; daughter Maria Alden, and her husband Scott; grandchildren Anthony, Ashley, Nikki, Matt, and Joe, along with great-granddaughters Tyler and Logan.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Marie’s family from 10:00 AM until her Catholic prayer service at 11:30 AM, on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at https://www.stjude.org/donate, and/or a charity of the donor’s choice.
