Denise L. Matulis (Neely)
Denise Lynn Neely Matulis, of New Hope, PA died on Tuesday, September28, 2021, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She was 64.
She was the beloved wife of Albert P. Matulis, Sr.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Thomas Neely and the late Janet Caddick Neely.
Denise enjoyed playing tennis and golf with family and friends, traveling to the beach each summer with her family and annual ski weekend in the winter. She loved supporting her grandkids at soccer games, dance recitals, preschool shows etc. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her laughter was infectious (especially when playing catch phrase) and although she was beautiful on the outside (and always dressed to impress) her truest beauty was found on the inside.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her three children: Carolyn M. Lavelle, and her husband Kevin, of Newtown, Albert P. Matulis, Jr., and wife Rachael, of Ponte Vedra, FL, and Danielle L. Oxley, and her husband David, of Newtown; sister Wendy Greiner, and her husband Joe; and brother Tom Neely Jr, and his wife Chris. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; Ryan, Micah, Kelsey, Brooke, Abigail, Miles, Jonah, Avery, and Anna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM, at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd, (at Holland Rd), Richboro, PA 18954, as well as her visitation on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 10:00AM until her funeral service at 11:00AM, at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope, PA 18938. Her interment will follow at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery.
*For public safety, the wearing of facial masks is required at both the evening visitation on Tuesday, and visitation and service on Wednesday*.
