John N. Feldman
John N. Feldman, a Vietnam-era veteran from Feasterville, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, in St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, a day shy of his 75th birthday.
Born in Lebanon, PA, his family was among the first to purchase a ranch home in the Broadview Farms section of Lower Southampton Township. The family was also one of the founding members of the Assumption B.V.M. Parish on Meadowbrook Road. Mr. Feldman was among the first graduates of the Assumption B.V.M. parochial grade school.
He graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1964 and earned a B.S. degree in Communications from Temple University before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. In 1970, he married his college sweetheart, Jaroslawa “Jeri” Rinylo, a writer-editor at the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and was deployed from Nellis AFB to southeast Asia where he maintained and repaired U.S. warplanes, including the F-4 Phantom.
When his enlistment ended, Mr. Feldman and his wife stayed in Las Vegas for almost 10 years before returning East. They lived in Budd Lake, NJ, for 20 years where he worked as a technician and technical manager for several companies including Olivetti, Gestetner and Mita Kyocera.
In 2000, he and his wife moved to the same Feasterville ranch home in which Mr. Feldman had lived as a boy. They drove to and from their New Jersey jobs for a daily roundtrip commute of up to 200 miles until retiring in early 2013.
Mr. Feldman was a railroad and airplane fan and collected model planes. While growing up, he took pride in his train sets and ham radio activities. He loved animals, especially birds, squirrels, rabbits, cats and dogs. He kept bird feeders, peanut munch boxes and birdbaths in his front and back yards for his animal friends.
Besides his wife, Mr. Feldman is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and in-laws, all mostly in the East. He was pre-deceased by his parents, J. Norman and Catherine M. Feldman, younger brother, Robert J. Feldman, and favorite aunt, Florence M. Eckert of Norristown.
Neighbors, friends and relatives are invited to greet the family on Friday, October 1, from 4 pm until the prayer service at 4:30 pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) in Richboro. Burial with military honors is on Tuesday, October 5, at 9:15 am in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940
