Peter M. Vergis

Peter M. Vergis, 48, of Wrightstown, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette M. Vergis and loving father to William, Jack and Peter Jr.

Born November 2, 1972 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Dr. James G. and Rosemary (O’Donnell) Vergis.

Pete Vergis was a true Renaissance man: artist, musician and avid outdoorsman.  Pete enjoyed hunting, mountain biking, camping, working in his workshops, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles.   He also had shown his art in local galleries and many of his works have been published.  Pete taught himself how to play a few different instruments and even played on stage. There was nothing Pete could not fix, build or create. His talents exceed any norm.

For thirteen years Pete fought cancer and at one time fought two types.  He persisted relentlessly through many years of pain, exhaustion and other effects for treatment.  He has a "full steam ahead” attitude. Pete's sense of adventure and perseverance should be a life lesson to us all.

Along with his wife, Jeanette, Pete is survived by three sons, William J. Vergis, Jack A. Vergis, and Peter M. Vergis, Jr.; five siblings, George Vergis, Michael Vergis, John Vergis, Lynn Ellen Vergis, and Trisha Vergis; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 10:00 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro. Interment will be held privately.

Contributions in Pete’s name can be made to Gist Support International, https://www.gistsupport.org/about-gist-support-international/donate/ .
