Robert J. Borkowski of Holland, died peacefully on September 18, 2021 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne.  He was 72.

Born in Philadelphia, Bob is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Logue Godfrey. He was the son of the late Edward and Helen Maminski Borkowski.

Bob was a graduate of North Catholic HS, class of 1966 and received his Business Degree from Temple University in 1970. Bob’s professional career started at James D. Morrissey, Inc in New Jersey, where he worked for 19 years.  Later, he went to work for the Controller’s office for the County of Bucks and worked as a Finance Analyst for 13 years.  He was a resident of Northampton Township for 34 years.  In 2014, Bob was elected Tax Collector of Northampton Twp and was known as the party’s “top vote getter.”  He retired in 2019, due to his struggle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

Bob belonged to St. Bede the Venerable Parish, Holland. Golf was a passion for Bob.  He spent time as Golf Instructor at Archbishop Wood HS and Trenton State University. He not only loved teaching but playing the game. He was Club Champion at Northampton Valley Golf Club in 1989.  He was a 20-year member of the Northampton Twp Republican Party, an Executive Committeeman, and a campaign manager for many candidates on local, county, and state levels.

Bob was proud of his Polish heritage. He and Pat loved to travel, having enjoyed France, England, Ireland, Scotland, and Italy. The Jersey shore was also a favorite weekend spot to fish and relax. Bob loved his fish tank, Koi fishpond, feeding the birds, and happy hour cocktails. He will be truly missed for his warm and welcoming manor, generosity, sense of humor, true friendship and always being available to help in any way.
