Carol Ann Slavinski
Carol Ann Slavinski, 63 years of age, from Philadelphia, died on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Briarleaf Nursing and Convalescent Center in Doylestown.
Carol was born in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela Slavinski (Smalarz).
Carol attended St. Ladislaus grade school and Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. After graduation, she attended Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science for a semester but soon decided to join the workforce full time by taking a job with the U.S. Federal government. Carol’s professional career as administrative assistant spanned across various agencies in the government, including U.S. Mint, Internal Revenue Service, and Naval Support Activity Philadelphia (commonly referred to as the Philadelphia Naval Depot).
Carol was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Everyone who encountered her fondly noted how polite, soft-spoken and caring she was. In her most beautiful penmanship, she lovingly crafted cards for every occasion for those in her life.
Carol was truly a gentle spirit who enjoyed shopping for others, making crafts as gifts for family and always sharing pleasant words with whomever she was around. She loved the beach and going to the New Jersey shore brought her much happiness. She maintained a razor-sharp memory of her school days, both grade school and high school, life in the city and experiences with her family and friends and cherished them greatly.
Despite many challenges over the years, she was a model of her Catholic values and attended Mass or services regularly.
Surviving her are sisters, Susan Slavinski (George Dobrowolski) of Richboro and Michele Slavinski-Mehlbaum of Perkasie. She also leaves behind her nephews, Michael Dobrowolski (wife Christine), Andrew Dobrowolski (wife Sheila), Stephen and Patrick Mehlbaum along with a great-nephew, Luke Dobrowolski.
Carol’s life will be remembered and celebrated with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Hilltown followed by her interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
Contributions in her memory can be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) – Bucks County, 1432 Easton Rd Suite 2D, Warrington, PA 18976.
