Elinor “Penny” Penelope Krajci (Harris)

Elinor “Penny” Penelope Krajci of New Britain died peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 after a long battle with Dementia. She was 71 years old.

Penny was the beloved wife of 52 years to John G. Krajci. Born in Roxborough, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Karl Harris and Elinor Mack Harris and the sister of the late Chester Harris.

Penny is remembered for her immeasurable hospitality and humanitarianism. She even won an award for establishing the New Britain Baptist Church Food Larder in the 90s which still operates today. Her desire to serve her community was apparent throughout her life when she ran for a committee position for New Britain Borough, coached little league for Lenape Valley and coordinated countless community events including Pine Run Elementary School Halloween Howls and sock hops which incorporated her love for 50s music. Not to mention her passion for singing, especially in the New Britain Baptist church choir. Those who knew her will remember her fondly and bear in mind her generosity and lively personality.

In addition to her husband John, Penny is survived by her loving and devoted daughters; Tracey Blount and her husband Christopher of Sellersville and Kimberly Horan and her husband Timothy of Sellersville. She is also survived by her sister Suzanne Flaherty and her dear grandchildren: Courtney, Nathan, and Alex Blount and Jacob and Jocelyn Horan and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Penny’s family will receive friends on September 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until her Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. in the New Britain Baptist Church, 22 East Butler Ave., New Britain, PA 18901.

Per New Britain Baptist Church, masks are required to be worn in all buildings.

Her interment will be private at a later date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
