Michael James Lee

Michael James Lee died peacefully at his home in Newtown Township, PA on Friday, August 27, 2021. He was 77 years old and surrounded by family when he passed.

Michael considered himself lucky enough to have found love twice in life as the loving and devoted husband of the late Gail Lee and the late Marion Lee.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he was the only child of James and Julia Berry Lee.

A US Navy veteran and graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School & Temple University, Michael retired as an Inspector with the Philadelphia Police Department in 1994 after serving for 28 years.  He went on to serve as the Director of Safety and Security for Mercer Medical Center in Trenton, NJ, later known as Capital Health System.

Michael leapt into retirement for good in 2000 and focused on traveling with Marion and spending time with his family.  Michael was an avid Philly sports fan, animal lover and master joke-teller who also enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, and history.

Michael will be remembered by his children, Sondra Meder and her husband Dennis, Patricia Lee and her husband Thomas Boas, James Lee and his wife Elizabeth; his step-sons, Timothy Warren and Ronald Warren (Barbara); his grandchildren, Julia, Emily, Lauren, Abigail, Olivia, Michael, Elena, Margaret, Timothy (Heidi), Katlyn, Ian and Devon. He will also be missed by his cat, Charlie.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Michael’s family on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:00am, until the start of his Prayer Service, 10:30am, at Joseph A.
