Mary A. Bonanno (Arcidiacono)

Mary A. Bonanno of Doylestown died peacefully at her home on August 24, 2021, at the age of 100.

Mary was the loving wife of the late Carmen A. Bonanno and together they had shared 31 years of marriage until his death.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Anthony J. Bonanno and her brother, Sebastian Arcidiacono.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John Arcidiacono and Leonarda Finocchiaro Arcidiacono.

Mary graduated from South Philadelphia High School and went on to lead an over 20-year career as a clerk for the Internal Revenue Service.  She was an excellent cook and an even better story teller and both these traits made her the perfect host and she treasured bringing loved ones together for family gatherings.  She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Nina M. Asta and her husband (late John) of Fountainville; her grandchildren, Miriam Bednarczyk and her husband, Andy, Laura Bachman and her husband, Jeff, Victoria Lind and Michael Mellor; and her great-grandchildren, Teagan, Rylie, Keith, Dorian, Juliana, and Aurora.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 8:30 AM until 10:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901 and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.  Her interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
