Catherine Kopycienski (DiGiovanni)

Catherine DiGiovanni Kopycienski, age 90, died peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at her son’s home in Richboro.

Born February 11, 1931, in Philadelphia, she was the beloved widow of the late Harry A. Kopycienski, to whom she was married 55 years until his passing in 2011.

Catherine loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, as well as having fun and relaxation time at the beach.  She enjoyed serving her community by preparing meals, providing childcare and many other thoughtful deeds.  She had a servant’s heart whenever there was a time of need.  She unfortunately was not raised in a traditional home; but she was very happily loved by the Daughters of Charity in St. Vincent’s Orphanage.  She had many, many sisters there that became her family and were Aunts and Uncles to her children.

Catherine is survived by her son Robert Kopycienski, and his wife Colleen; her daughter Anna Marie “Ree” Smith, and her husband Kenneth; as well as six beloved grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Catherine’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, with Words of Remembrance starting at 10:55 AM until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Her interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Catherine’s name may be made to Holy Redeemer Home Health and Hospice Services 12265 Townsend Rd Unit 400 Philadelphia, PA 19154.
