William Richard Cosgrove, Jr.
William Richard Cosgrove, Jr. died Friday, July 16, 2021 at his home in Chalfont, surrounded by his family. He was 58 years old.
William was the beloved husband of Diane M. Ferri Cosgrove. They were married for 32 years. The couple met at Penn Engineering, where they both worked. Bill was the loving son of Gail Thompson and the late William Richard Cosgrove, Sr.
Bill loved the summertime, where in the day, he was gardening and growing vegetables, and at night, he would cook on the grill and set off fireworks. He enjoyed collecting antiques and Three Stooges memorabilia. He loved his Mom’s chocolate chip cookies. Bill listened to music often, notably Frank Sinatra on Sunday mornings. He had a love / hate relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved making people laugh. Bill will be remembered by his vibrant t-shirts, tall white socks and his unusual sense of style.
In addition to his wife Diane, Bill will be missed and remembered by his children, Katie Cosgrove and Billy Cosgrove, III (Abii Carter); his grandson, Elliott Graham Carter Cosgrove; his sisters, Connie Walsh and Lisa Seelhorst (Mike); brother-in-law, Steve Ferri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Bill’s family on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 10:00 am until the start of his Funeral Service, 11:00am at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 20 Dill Avenue in Perkasie, PA 18944. His interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William’s name may be made to Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Chalfont, PA.
