Donald W. Allen

Donald W. Allen, of Langhorne, died peacefully on July 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.  Donald was the loving husband for 41 wonderful years to his wife Patricia (Johnson) Allen.  Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the beloved son of Winfield C. and Catherine (Panacek) Allen.

Don attended Ursinus College where he played football and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Don had a relentless passion for brightening the lives of everyone he touched as illustrated by the love and care for his family and his dedication to helping his clients retire with dignity and achieve their financial goals. He so enjoyed his tenure as a loyal employee of Leon L. Levy Associates and helped the firm build a $1bn wealth management business from the ground up.  He also garnered many wonderful relationships with the people he worked with. Don was a very generous and kindhearted man. He was always very giving of his time, willing to lend a helping hand, and offer words of wisdom to those around him. Don had a calm and kind disposition with a sweet and loving smile that made everyone around him feel warm. Don greatly enjoyed spending time with Pat, his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking and made an amazing chicken parmesan dish that his family would often request of him! He was a loving husband, a devoted Dad and Grandpa, and a dear friend who will be missed greatly by so many.

In addition to his wife, Pat, Donald is survived by his children and their spouses: Christine and Mark Harman of Lancaster, Don and Emily Allen of Merion Station, and Cait and Evan Bradlee of Downingtown; by his sister, Kathleen Allen of Annandale, NJ; by his six grandchildren: Mark Jr., Brooke, Harper, Kennedy, Zoe and Evelyn, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his newest granddaughter who is due in early August.  Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Carter, and is survived by his brother-in-law, Bob Carter, both of Titusville, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Donald’s family on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA.  A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM, where friends and relatives will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
