Mary E. Barraclough (Carlson)

Mary E. Barraclough, née Carlson, age 89, of Doylestown, died Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Wesley Enhanced Living, Doylestown.

Born June 27, 1932 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian Osman Carlson, and the widow of the late Kenneth H. Barraclough, to whom she was married 42 years until his passing in 2004.

Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her time raising her three sons. She also was dedicated to her church and spent time volunteering with various church ministries, including Child Evangelism. Later in life Mary enjoyed organizing and running a local library in her apartment building.

Mary is survived by her son, Mark Barraclough, and his wife, Maureen, by her son, Scott Barraclough, and his wife Gywn, and by her son, David Barraclough. She is also survived by 7 beloved grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.               

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 12, 2021, Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901, with a calling hour from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, will be private.
