Joseph P. Rudolph

Joseph P. Rudolph, of Philadelphia and Sun City Center, FL, died at home on June 25, 2021. He was 69 years old. Joseph was the beloved husband of Ruth (Green) whom he married after the loss of his first wife, Sissy (Mamienski). Born in Philadelphia, he was the loving son of Catherine (Mitchell) Rudolph and Leo Rudolph.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his son Eric Rudolph and his wife, Jenn, of Media, PA; by his stepchildren and spouses, Carrie and Kevin Quinn, Emily and Jason Miller, Derek and Courtney Green, and Kelsey and Nate Wells; by his granddaughter, Emma; and by his step-grandchildren, Olivia, Harper, Evelyn, Ethan, Ben, Jack and Lilly; and by a host of extended family and friends.

Joe provided the joy of laughter to everyone that crossed paths with him.  Whether you were the target of a quick witted joke, an observer, or a part of the Joe Rudolph story telling session, an instant memory and laughter soon followed.   A proud Army veteran, Joe leverage his comedic genius to tell incredible stories about the neighborhood to keep all around him in good spirits.  A graduate of Mastbaum HS, Joe continued his unique gift throughout life with an ability to bring both children and adults into full blown laughter.

His comedy was his tool to unlock his true beliefs.  Think things through, but most importantly and above all, enjoy life.  His passions varied with age from dancing, Motown, Philly sports teams, Seinfeld and poker.  His favorite mission was connecting with kids, taking the most joy in the role of Dad, Pop Pop and father figure to many.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Joseph’s family on Tuesday, July 6th from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA.  Interment with military honors in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to help fill the summer meal gap for kids at www.Philabundance.org are appreciated.
