Claire G. Mueller (Steiner)

Claire G. Mueller, age 88, of Holland, died Monday, June 28, 2021, at Attleboro Nursing & Rehab Center, Langhorne.

Born September 9, 1932, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Violet Dunkleberger nee Steiner. As a little girl she lived in Chestnut Hill at the Springfield Township border, then back to Germantown where she attended Fitler School, and graduated from Germantown High School. She then worked for a couple of banks. She joined the Navy Reserve in the late 1950’s, serving most of her time at Willow Grove NAS, leaving after she was married. She was the widow of the late Frederick L. Mueller, to whom she was married 33 years, from October of 1959 until his passing in 1991.

Claire was involved with the Bucks County Council Boy Scouts of America. She was also an Auxiliary Life Member of the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company, serving in the support services and as the company secretary for many years.

Claire is survived by: sons Frederick  Mueller, and his wife Karen, and Eric Mueller, and his wife Wendy; 5 grandchildren Justin, Alyssa, Kelsey, Taylor and Frederick; and 2 beloved great-grandchildren Kynsley and Henry.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954. A calling hour will precede from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Claire’s honor to the Bucks County Council of Boy Scouts of America, at 1 Scout Way, Doylestown, PA 18901.
