James J. Beveridge

James J. Beveridge of Chalfont died peacefully on May 23, 2021 at Abington Hospital, Abington. He was 91 years of age.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the beloved husband of the late Cecelia E. McGowan Beveridge, son of the late James and Margaret Gillespie Beveridge, father of the late Francis, John and James “Jimmy”, brother and brother-in-law of the late Eileen and John Murphy.

Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War, worked for PKF/Mark III, Newtown for 20 years.  After his retirement from PKF, Jim worked part time for Cox Wholesale florist for another 20 years. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Local Plumbers Union and recently received a Certificate of Commendation for his 70 years of membership.

He was the BEST and Most Wonderful Dad, Pop-Pop and Great Pop-Pop ever. He will be greatly missed but forever Loved by his children: Kathy and John Eyrich, his daughter-in-law Stefnie Beveridge, Mary and Charlie McFadden, Michael and Marlene Beveridge, Peggy McDaid and Patrick, Brian Beveridge and his fiancée Candace Stauffer. He was very proud of his 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his brother Thomas Beveridge and his wife Theresa and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday June 4, 2021 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church Rt. 152 and Hilltown, Pike. Hilltown, PA. 18914 from 9:30 am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
