Jane Rawes (Zell)

Jane Zell Rawes, age 96, of Doylestown, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington.

Born November 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Katharine Rauch Zell, and the widow of the late Arthur M. Rawes.

She was a longtime member of St Paul's Episcopal church in Doylestown. Jane began painting at age 16, and continued painting enthusiastically throughout her lifetime. She retained lifelong connections with friends, and enjoyed traveling with them. She had a positive outlook on life and enjoyed living it.

Jane is survived by her sons Jeffrey M. Rawes, and his wife Sharen, of Forest Grove, and Peter Rawes of Berlin, VT, as well as 7 beloved grandchildren and 11 adored great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Jane is preceded in death by her son Stephen Rawes.

Family and friends are invited to join in a remembrance service for Jane at 11:00 am, on Wednesday June 2, 2021, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, at 84 E. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s honor to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 84 E. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown, PA 18901.
