Joseph F. Longmore, Sr.

Joseph F. Longmore, Sr. died peacefully on Sunday May 16, at his home in Holland. He was 87.

Born in Philadelphia, Joe was the beloved husband of 63 years to Shirlee M. Longmore.

Joe was a graduate of North Catholic High School and received his degree in Business Administration from Penn State. He proudly served in the United States Army. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and playing softball and being with family and friends.

Joe was all about family, community and his country. He was a resident of Northampton Township since 1970 and a communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish, He was a former Northampton Township Supervisor from 1974 to 1981. He has served on the advisory committee and has been very active with the Guardians of the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his 5 sons and their wives. Joe is also survived by his wonderful 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Joe’s family on Tuesday June 8th from 11:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 12:45pm in St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Guardians of the National Cemetery, P O Box 233 Newtown, PA 18940.
