Michael Spadafora Jr.

Michael Spadafora, Jr., a longtime resident of Holland, PA died peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his wife and family on May 18, 2021.  He was 93.

Michael was the loving husband of Mary Ann and together they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in June of 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Adeline Spadafora.

Michael served proudly with the United States Army of Occupation in Japan under the leadership of General Douglas MacArthur at the young age of 18 before eventually becoming a proud graduate of Drexel University.  He led a long career as an electrical engineer until his retirement.

Michael was an avid hunter and an all-around handy man who could fix or do just about anything.  His family often called upon him for help with home projects and his handy work can be seen all throughout their homes.  Michael also took great pride in following the sporting events of his children and grandchildren closely, always nearby, cheering from the sidelines.

Most of all, Michael was a hard worker, a man of great faith, and steadfastly devoted to his loving family. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Michael leaves behind his children, Dr. Michael Spadafora (Susan) of Richboro, PA, Joann Lichtenwalner (Glenn) of Silverdale, PA, Dr. Robert Spadafora of Holland, PA, Marguerite Lantzy (Dr. Robert) of New Hope, PA, nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his brother, William Spadafora of Feasterville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Frank, Joseph, and Robert Spadafora.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday Evening, May 23, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and on Monday Morning, May 24, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966.  His interment will be private.
