Dominic J. D'Amore

Dominic J. D’Amore, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  He was raised in Southwest Philadelphia by his parents, Salvatore and Marie D’Amore (nee Cucinotta).  He graduated from John Bartram High School and immediately began his career working as a pressman for Bartash Printing.

Dominic (Donnie), was the loving husband of the late Christina D’Amore (nee Panetta). for 39 years. They met in Wildwood and quickly knew they were meant for each other.  He stood by her side and cared for her when she was battling Ovarian cancer until her passing.

Donnie was introduced to Linda Burger, also a widow, and together they found enjoyment in each other through traveling, going to the theater, Trenton Thunder games and playing cards and bingo with friends.

Donnie is remembered as being fun loving with a wonderful smile and great laugh.  He enjoyed being with his four grandchildren watching them each do the things that they loved.  He attended their school events, music recitals and sports games to cheer them all on.  Christmas Eve was a special time for Dominic and his family.  He especially enjoyed the D’Amore ritual of the seven fishes cooked by his sisters, Maria and Dolores.

Donnie is survived by his children, Monica D’Amore and Diana Keyak & husband Ron. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Christina, Nathan, Vincent, and Derek; his sister, Maria DiIenno, her husband, Steven, and their children Stefanie (Kyle), Steven (Kelly) and Michael (Tina) and his brother-in-law, Nicholas Palo.

In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dolores M. Palo and Margarite D’Amore.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966.  His entombment will follow in New St. Mary Cemetery & Mausoleum in Bellmawr, NJ.
