David A. Koch

David A. Koch of Chalfont died suddenly on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital.  He was 76. Born in Hazleton, PA he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Oliva Donald Koch.

Dave was a Pennsylvania State Trooper for 25 years and a Seaman in the US Coast Guard for 4 years, but what he will be remembered for is his big smile, kindness, humor, and his love of life and family. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandkids. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to Alabama football and watching his grandkids’ games. Additionally, he enjoyed traveling, especially family trips, and more than anything, he created lasting, happy memories that will forever keep everyone laughing.

Dave was the beloved husband of Mary Lou Yamulla Koch. The couple had been high school sweethearts and were married for 53 amazing years.

In addition to his beloved wife and best friend, Mary Lou, Dave is survived by his brother, Wayne Koch (June) and loving and devoted children, Dave Koch (Melissa), Karyn Koch (Jason Brown) and Michelle Koch (Gene Provencio); his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew, Amelia, Madison and Jessa. Dave is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 9:45am until his Funeral Mass at 10:30am, at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914.  His interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
