Obituaries Nancy M. Diekman (Thomsen)
Nancy Marie Diekman, nee Thomsen, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Abington Memorial Hospital, of Abington, Pa. She was 86-year-old.
She was born February 24, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Ernest W. Thomsen and Helen Schiffmacher Thomsen, and the wife of Henry G. Diekman, to whom she was married 68 years.
She resided in Southampton, Pa for more than 50 years. Nancy was a 1952 graduate of Germantown High School, and a longtime member of Davisville Church (formerly Davisville Baptist), and later a devoted member of Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. Also, she was a Southampton Police Crossing Guard for thirteen years under Police Chief Bud Grey.
Nancy is survived by her husband Henry G. Diekman and her two sons, Henry E. Diekman of Warminster, and Karl F. Diekman of Andreas. She was mother-in-law to Hilda and Chris, Grandmother to 4 beloved grandchildren Brandy, Karla (husband Brandon), Caroline (husband Benjamin), and Karl H. She had 6 adored great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Diane Thomsen. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in passing by her son Fred W. Diekman, granddaughters Jessica Diekman and Kelly Diekman, and brother Ernest W. Thomsen.
Nancy had a strong faith in God and was a spiritual inspiration to her family and friends. In her free time, she loved reading, cooking, and exploring the outdoors. Most of all, she was devoted to raising her family, who will miss her dearly.
Services and interment will be private, and at the discretion of the family.
